The spaces that make the images in our memory and the images on the screen tangible and the life situations that are reflected, gain meaning in the direction that the images awaken in our body. Through architecture we transform our experience of outsideness and estrangement into the positive feeling of domicile. The structuring of place, space, situation, scale, illumination etc., characteristics of architecture, -framing of human existece- seeps unavoidably into every cinematic experession.

Istanbul has hosted more than 6000 movies since the first screening has started. To improve this movie knowledge and awareness, a movie research centre is aimed to be designed. While serving as a research centre with its archieves, cinemas it also functions as a movie studio where actual movies are made from scratch while witnessing the whole procedure of movie making.
